Thanks for dropping by to what I hope will become a centre for football news from around the globe.
The aim of this blog is to report the true story of the goings on in the worlds favourite sport, without the narrow minded, blinkered views of your average sports news outlets.
Hopefully we will be a shrine to people who want to see what is really happening, not what may be but is never going to be happening.
Introduction over, and onto the task in hand. The World Cup in South Africa is now in full swing and approaching the end of the group stage, with some heavyweight fallers already.
Who at the start of the tournament could have predicted the loss of both Italy and France, finalists of course from four years earlier. The way the results have run has led to an intriguing last sixteen fixture list with some old rivalries being renewed, Argentina and Mexico and of course England Germany to name but two, and some mouth watering ties between less likely opponents, such as Japan Paraguay.
With the World focused on South Africa, club sides are beginning to assemble squads and sure up management teams for the upcoming season and we will be keeping you up to date with the ups and downs as they happen.
